Bill Summary
AMENDS TITLE 12, CHAPTER 6, ARIZONA REVISED STATUTES, BY ADDING ARTICLE 20 to create a legal pathway for individuals to sue “covered entities” (corporations, agencies, or organizations) that enforce Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) policies in violation of state or federal law. Prohibited DEI policies include the claim that the U.S. is “fundamentally racist or sexist” and “compelling individuals to believe or speak in a way that suggests an individual can change their sex or gender.”
