Secular Officiants

I consider myself an atheist-humanist. I don’t believe in a higher power, but believe that each of us has the capacity to be the good that we want to see in the world. I received my officiant certification from the internet-based Unity Life Church and am legally ordained to perform weddings in Arizona. I have performed six weddings (including a superhero-themed wedding where I was dressed as Wonder Woman) and am happy to officiate for couples regardless of race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or gender identity. I believe getting to know couples is an important component in providing a meaningful ceremony, and would ask couples to meet a few times beforehand (virtually or in-person) so that your wedding ceremony is memorable, meaningful, and free from religious dogma or ritual. While I have never officiated a funeral, memorial, or end-of-life celebration, I would be happy to meet with family and friends of lost loved ones to put together an event that meets the needs of all involved. I live in the Phoenix metro area, but if my schedule allows, I am happy to travel throughout the state to help you with your officiating needs.

I am a certified non-denominational officiant. I have been doing ceremonies for almost 3 years. I am completely inclusionary. I'm 58, a lawyer for 25 years now, all in Arizona. I have officiated secular and religious ceremonies, same-sex unions and marriages. I can officiate over anything people want. I will go anywhere in Arizona, provided I'm reimbursed for travel.

The Monastery/Universal Life Church Ministries ordained me a few years ago. I'm eligible to officiate weddings in the state of Arizona. Officiating end-of-life celebrations is possible, too. I will work with couples and families to make their event the special one they want in an atheist/agnostic/humanist tradition. I'm based in Glendale and available to travel throughout the state. I am a nonsectarian ordained minister through the nonsectarian Ministerial Program at People House, a Center for Personal and Spiritual Growth, in Denver, Colorado. I provide spiritual support to those who adhere to no faith tradition, as well as to those representing a wide diversity of faith traditions. I am qualified to officiate weddings in the state of Arizona, working in the Flagstaff and Tucson areas, and have been officiating weddings since 2018. I am available for all life-cycle events, including weddings, commitment ceremonies, and memorials.
