Blue Tuesday Reminder
June 27, 2023
Blue Tuesday Luncheon, Inc.
A non-profit corporation.
Noon to 1:30 PM
Blue Tuesday Forum Zoom Luncheon
Two speakers with big ideas:
Doreen Garlid made history as the first Native American elected to the Tempe City Council. Her grand uncle was a World War II Navajo Code Talker and her great grandfather was a Navajo Medicine Man. For many years, she has offered educational presentations about Navajo culture and family life, which earned her Tempe’s MLK Diversity Award.
Her community service list is extraordinary — but not limited to Tempe, her Navajo roots, or even the US. She’s a tireless worker on international medical missions to impoverished areas of Africa and Latin America.
Jeanne Casteen, Secular AZ. Separation of church and state has been a battleground in this country for more than 250 years, never more so than now. It underlies the abortion debate as well as end-of-life policies, tax exemptions for churches, and continuing efforts by religious schools to get voucher support.
New, easier registration and sign-in!
Many of you don’t have to sign up at all.
Regular attenders will get Nan’s email with the login code, whether they RSVP or not. No need to contact us every month. Watch for our email with the login code.
Are you a Regular? If you signed up for two meetings in 2022-2023, YES.
The no-sharing rule is now more important than ever. Do not forward the email with login codes to your friends.Just send them this meeting notice so they can sign up.
Sign-up deadline: 11AM, same day — and we’ve made big changes.
When you reply to bluetuesdayluncheon@gmail.com and ask to be on the list, we record your name, email address and phone number. Then you get your own login and can quickly get into meetings. Our new procedures also eliminate the possibility that a meeting guest could ever get stuck in the waiting room.
How to check in:
Sign in to the meeting using the link you receive or the phone number provided. Our credentialing team will let you in, starting at 11:15.
The credentialing team will also help newbies change their device names to their real names. At future meetings, that will let them admit you quickly and exclude trolls.
Then you can walk away until the program begins, or enjoy a chat with BT friends old and new. At noon, the team will be listening to the program and you might not get in.
